Visit to Rovellats Cava (wine tourism)
We are excited to announce a special social event as part of Biosensing 2024 — a guided visit to the Rovellats Wineries.
The guided visit will introduce you to the fascinating world of cava and the world of Rovellats, a family winery in the heart of the Penedès. Surrounded by a beautiful environment of modernist-neoclassical gardens as well as the historic buildings of this old winery with origins in the 10th century, you will have the opportunity to visit their cellars. At a depth of 12 meters, the radial cellar is unique in the world for its six-pointed star structure with a central roundabout. Rovellats cavas are made with their own grapes and following the traditional method. The visit will finish with a tasting of cava and some little snacks.
Gala dinner
The banquet dinner will be conducted after the wine tourism visit in the restaurant Sofia by Picnic close to the beach, in Sitges.
Registration
Attendance at the social event is included within workshop registration fees. Please indicate your interest in attending the visit to Rovellats Cava, the banquet and your main course plate during the registration process.
Transportation
Shuttle transportation will be provided from the workshop venue to Rovellats Cava and back to the Sitges restaurant. Details regarding transportation schedules and meeting points will be communicated closer to the event date.
Don’t miss this unforgettable experience at Rovellats Cava —a highlight of Biosensing 2024. We look forward to welcoming you to this special social event.
